Marwyn Rosenthorne’s Family & Associates (mentioned in or pertinent to the histories):
Brock Smashit: barbarian, goliath - played by Villain Support John
7’ 5" hulking Goliath barbarian, pants and fabric belt, no shirt, mottled brown/gray skin, deep set red eyes. Fierce appearance but friendly demeanor until you give him reason to not be friendly. Not especially intelligent.
Brooke Nightingale: druid, High Elf - played by Allison
female High Elf druid silver hair, blue eyes Age: 5'10" Build: Slim (115 lbs) Brook carries a staff at all times and loves animals of all kinds and is able to transform into a wendigo at will, having been scratched by one during a skirmish.
Ianah Stormlight: sorcerer cleric - played by The Librarian
young Aasimar woman ejected from the celestial realm when Mount Alternate erupted. She is about 6 feet tall, slender and muscular with blond hair and blue-black eyes.
Karn the Shapeless: monk, Changeling - played by Mindless
Karn is well practiced in the martial arts; and his body delivers when it is time for punching. Typically, Karn does not have a set form. He will alternate from elf to orc with as much ease as one would expect. Not pleasantly. He cannot create his own forms but will steal forms that are pleasing to look at. Race: Changeling Size: 6-foot, 1-inch but variable significantly according to form chosen. Age: Unknown Build: Muscular, built for speed. Coloring & clothing: Typically, he wears dark monastic robes with a cloak that obscures his face when needed and carries a staff. Many of his forms can be flashy and he likes to minimize how much he stands out when in infiltration missions. His current… allies? Have made this difficult. Karn's gender is variable, and when in changeling form uses they/them pronouns. Karn has appeared as male most of the time, but has taken the form of a female Kenku and of party member Mako. He is currently back in a male form, and is once again taller than Marwyn.
He has a phobia about tiramisu and reports being allergic to chocolate.
Lilithnor Whitrun: Assassin Rogue, played by Artemis Jade
bugbear
Lilithnor has a lean, athletic build, her muscles toned but not bulky. Her fur is a soft tan, reminiscent of a deer’s coat, and her voluminous copper-red hair could make a lion envious. Her sharp, golden eyes reveal a deep, unshakable confidence—wealth and power fail to intimidate her. She is considered short for a bugbear, standing at 5'11", but that doesn't hinder her skills as a deadly assassin.
She comes from a family of healers and specializes in poisons as her weapon of choice, often developing new poisons so she can send them home to her family to develop antidotes. She enjoys her "research" - testing new poisons on her targets but killing isn't a passion for her; it's simply a means to an end—a way to pay the bills and test her toxic concoctions in the field. Lilithnor wields a finely crafted rapier, enchanted to alert her to nearby threats, a valuable tool in her deadly profession.
Mako Kirii: ranger -played by Mando Mom
A high elf dragonborn, Mako is tall and slender, but keeps her features hidden behind large glasses and a hood. Her skin has a slight scaly sheen to it.
Marwyn Rosenthorne: bard/warlock - played by Babs
5' 6" human, 45 years old, brown hair & brown eyes, average build for a middle-aged woman
Marwyn is a Countess, and is well known across the continent of Xodia. The journeys she has taken with her companions have changed her a great deal from the quiet and subdued widow who shunned any signifier of her wealth, power, or station. Thanks to recent events, her dark brown hair (shot through with silver) is now too short for the intricate braids she's been accustomed to wearing, having taken one too many fire spells. The shoulder-length curls whirl around the golden circlet she wears, and the tips will seem to be on fire when she becomes angry and channels the power of her warlock patron. Her eyes are dark brown, and will spit flames when she is provoked. She wears a calf-length silken coat that is fitted through the bodice and arms, flaring into a full skirt at the hips over a blouse and fitted pants tucked into her sensible boots. Her coat is edged in gold embroidery worked in delicate roses and vines. Her gold jewelry is understated, but given the rarity of gold in Xodia, telling of her wealth and status. Belted around her waist is her sword, a soul-bound blade with her family's crest (a rose surrounded by a ring of thorny vines creating the hand guard) on the pommel and a blood-red blade. The blade is a bankai, who's name is Vengeance. When activated the hand guard vanishes and becomes part of the blade - turning a defensive weapon into an offensive one.
MonSah Thunder: cleric, Goliath - played by Levi/Member Solutions
Cleric Male Goliath height: 8-9 feet build: massive
MonSah has a plain face, very little hair, nondescript robes, and no distinguishing marks. He carries a massive black & red staff given to him by the High Priestess, passed down from his grandfather. MonSah loves to cook, and his frying pan is twice as big as Marwyn's head.
Tez Arkanos: artificer/warlock, Human - played by The Funeral King
18 year old Human female, 6'4" and very thin
Tez has long red hair she wears in a braid, green eyes, and pale skin. Tez wears light steampunk-y armor inspired by a certain "iron person," a roughed up navy blue cloak, and a pair of round glasses with the right lens being cracked. Her two weapons are a six round revolver named Alice and a hand axe. She also now has arm cannons.
MONEY:
Copper is the most common form of currency in Xodia. Gold is extremely rare.

Genasii Commonwealth
Created when the Highlands abandoned their territory due to the lava flows from Mount Alternate, the Genasii Commonwealth is a Military Dictatorship with a High Council. Membership is determined by honorable combat in which the first to submit (first blood) is declared the winner. While death in such battles is rare, it is not unheard of.
In the 18 months since the founding of the fledgling nation, their leadership has changed hands at least nine times, causing significant delays in hammering out treaties with neighboring countries.
The High Mountain Confederacy
The High Mountain Confederacy is a Confederation of loosely aligned tribal groups and is populated primarily by dwarves. There is some limited overlap along the borders by surface-dwelling races such as Orcs, Elves, etc.
The Highlands
The Highlands are a Union of Orc tribes (formerly the Highlands, Delgra, and the Horde of Beldr) brought together for common purposes. After ceding their original homelands to the Fire Genasii following the eruption of Mount Alternate (which made the terrain uninhabitable for them). They are governed by a Council about which little is known by outsiders.
The Eastern & Western Elven Empires
The Eastern Elven Empire is a Monarchy based on Primogeniture.
The Western Elven Empire is a Matriarchy. The Ports and Underdark are vassal states of the Western Elven Empire.
The Wilds & Beast Realm
The Wilds is a representative democracy.
Beast Realm is Tribal.
El Taryn
Perhaps the most complex of Xodia's governments, El Taryn is the largest nation on the continent and is a Feudal Elective Monarchy supported by two houses with different requirements for membership.
The first legislative body is the Senate, made up of representatives from each of the 10 Great Houses (see below). Senate positions are hereditary (usually by primogeniture, although not a requirement.) Senators are appointed by their family "House" (among the Ten Great Houses) and can be recalled and replaced should they be found wanting due to moral failures and/or criminal activities. The positions are for life.
The second legislative body is the Parliament. These are elected positions with each term lasting 6 years and a maximum of two terms. Elections for Parliament are held on a rotating basis for practicality with the Regions and Counties of El Taryn essentially taking turns to allow the Secretary of Elections the ability to monitor each election to maintain fairness, accuracy, and veracity. The Secretary of Elections is appointed by the newly appointed Monarch when they are elected.
The Senate and the Parliament together nominate the Monarch. Once the two bodies come to a consensus on who the next Monarch should be, there is a general election in which the general populace votes Yay/Nay on the candidate. Should a majority of the people vote "Nay", the Senate and Parliament reconvene and select another candidate, beginning the process anew. The Monarch is elected every 6 years. There are no term limits, but they must be re-elected every 6 years. Monarchs can be removed with a vote of "No Confidence", which will trigger a new election with a new candidate.
The Monarch's spouse is referred to by the title of Consort and has no authority in government. The current Monarch is Queen Eldoria Sweetbriar and Consort-King Edmond Mystwood.
The previous king was Wulfgrod Gro Sar, also known as King Wulfgrod the Diligent. King Wulfgrod never married and had no heirs.

The first migration began over 1400 years ago, bringing forth a new era. Settlers from Fey'Rel established trade and colonies with the indigenous populations of beastfolk and giants. As new kingdoms were formed, keeping true to their word, all manner of humans, elves, beastfolk, giants and more integrated into these new kingdoms, holding positions from simple farmers to positions of great power regardless of race or background.
None held more power than the Overlord, a storm giant who conquered and ruled all of Xodia from 721-875 of the First Era. No army could stand against him, but in 801 a small band of knights under the orders of The Xodian Council stole the Nexxus Magika, breaking not only the Nexxus, but Xodia's connection to the Realm of Magic. Even with the connection severed, The Overlord's power barely waned. In 875 a legion of paladins captured The Overlord and through a secret ritual trapped him inside a vault on The Isle of Giants, where he is entombed to this day. With the severing of magic and the defeat of the Overlord , new powers and factions formed.
The Western Elven Empire, home of the high elves, grasped their remaining magic tightly, holding themselves in higher regard than the other races and kingdoms. The Eastern Elven Empire, however, saw saving their culture of greater importance: mixing and mingling with others and sharing their ways of life.
The dwarves formed The High Mountain Confederacy. More interested in their technological advances, some held to the old ways of magic while others found new sources of power.
The Orcs banded together to form The Highland Stronghold, made up of the Beldr, Highland, and Delgra Hordes. United, they became known for having the best-trained warriors in Xodia.
The Ports and The Underdark formed city-states and although the Western Elven Empire holds claim, the goblins are the true rulers.
The Wilds, a small nation made up of The Wilds and Beast Realm combined, remains populated mainly by the beastfolk. This region prefers to not involve itself in the politics of the other kingdoms, while keeping trades with the same, maintaining peace and comfort for its people.
Not least is El Taryn, a central kingdom who (for five centuries) maintained the peace between humans, elves, orcs, goblins, dwarves, and beastfolk - becoming a massive melting pot of races, religions, and cultures.
In season one our adventurers were tasked with retrieving the various members of the Xodian Council in order to prevent a civil war. Their journey became even more difficult by the eruption of Mount Alternate, just days after they left the capitol to retrieve the first of the Council members. Hundreds of Xodian citizens died, and many more were displaced from their homes by the fallout, further straining already tense relations between the various factions.
To make difficult matters even worse, as they returned to the capitol a frightening figure appeared in the sky raining fire and debris down upon them all: an ancient black dragon from the Abyss known as The Eater of Worlds.
Once all of the Council members were assembled, the High Priestess tasked the group with restoring magic to the land of Xodia - perhaps their only chance of surviving the dragon. But this was merely the first step: the gods have all left Xodia, and no one remains who is strong enough to fight the dragon... except, perhaps, the sleeping giant history dubbed the tyrannical Overlord.
Fourteen hundred years ago and from another land
came our ancestors of elf, orc, dwarf, and man.
Ships who came from across the sea,
colonies sharing and growing, all people happy and free.
Nations arose, leaders chosen by the people
Until the frightful night of the Burning of The Steeple.
A storm giant came, one of terrifying power,
The Overlord conquering all, and ruling from the now darkened tower.
For 80 years the giant reigned, spreading terror like blood through veins
In a desperate hope to save their homes brave knights, honor forsworn
Stole away the source of his might under the cold and unforgiving starlight
The Overlord’s rule soon was ridden
Paladins in a secret plot forever keeping his body hidden.
The Nexxus was broken, magic was lost
Little did they imagine how great the cost
While the Nexxus was broken magic could not return,
and those of the elder races watched with much concern.
No magical child would be born,
Centuries passed, the connection irreparably torn.
Until one day, adventurers, a misfit band
braved The Labyrinth, bringing magic back to the land.
The Druid, a High Elf of The Golden Tower,
cursed, yet promising coming to terms with her new power.
The shapeless monk with a mind sharp, if not a bit insane
a devoted comrade, one from the Abyssal Plane.
A child of noble birth lost to war
tinkering to survive until given a choice
now an Archfiend’s warlock with loyalties torn
The bardic Countess, humble and meek,
she is the herald, the warlock the Raven did seek.
Each make up this motley crew,
The cursed land of Xodia welcomes you!
Season two held twists and turns no one could have expected. They rescued myconid slaves, accidentally released Mephisto, were infected with illithid tadpoles (thankfully protected by Kevin, and so have not transformed into Mind Flayers), gained new allies, and awakened the OverLord... who turned out to be a little different than they expected.
Darkness has fallen across the land
From the forests of The Wilds to The Highland's sands
In the mountains a hunger spreads
A menacing threat our party dreads
Out of the North the war drums sound
turning pastures into battlegrounds
But from the dark and mysterious past
New powers appear, new hope grasped
A perilous quest by the Raven Queen given
aided by her sons, one long hidden
Draug, barbarian wizard armed with Kindness
fighting for what he knows is righteous
Immovable object meets unstoppable force
Can he endure and stay the course?

Her poisons will invite you to plead
But is the bugbear all that she seems?
Will the kingdoms do what’s right?
Fight to prevent the endless night?
Our story continues for the brave and the bold
This is season 3: A Truth be Told
Season 3 found the addition of several new members to the Knights of Anub and Marwyn's brother Marek reappeared. The Elven Empress was assassinated by the Goddess of change, leaving Brooklyn's mother as the new Empress, and halting the imminent civil war that had been brewing. Upon delivering this news to the High Lord of the Western Elven Empire, our heroes discovered that there was yet another new threat targeting Xodians: Amegnon, Lord of Excess, and his cultists of cannibals, have joined the Goddess of Change, the Elder brain dragon, and the Void dragon.
Season 4 found our heroes on the battlefield, confronted with all their enemies joined together for one last fight, a fight none were confident they would win and one that ultimately took the life of one of their own. That sacrifice was not in vain, and they Knights of Anub were ultimately victorious.
